Concert to Include Opening Acts Robin Thicke and Melanie Fiona
TAMPA BAY – Alicia Keys, 12-time Grammy Award winner, will bring her highly anticipated Freedom Tour to the St. Pete Times Forum this Sunday, March 28 at 7:30 p.m. with special guests Robin Thicke and Melanie Fiona. Keys released her fourth studio album, The Element of Freedom, on December 1, 2009 as a follow up to her multi-platinum selling 2007 album As I Am.
“One of the best-selling artists of the last decade, Keys is a classically trained pianist with neo-soul vocal chops who is best served by keeping things small and relatively intimate,” said the Chicago Tribune’s Greg Kot in review of Keys’ Freedom Tour. “When Keys stripped things down and gave her voice and fingers room to move, she was riveting.”
Described as a dichotomy of strength and vulnerability, The Element of Freedom features Keys’ collaboration on Jay-Z’s “Empire State of Mind” and “Doesn’t Mean Anything,” both of which continue to climb the charts.
