Bon Jovi's The Circle 2010-2011 World Tour Arrives at the St. Pete Times Forum this Saturday, April 17 4/13/2010
Concert to Feature Special Guest Dashboard Confessional
TAMPA BAY-Bon Jovi’s 2010-2011 “The Circle World Tour,” promoted by AEG Live, will arrive at St. Pete Times Forum in Tampa this Saturday, April 17 at 7:30 p.m. The GRAMMY Award-winning band will welcome special guest Dashboard Confessional as the opening act.
Upon the announcement of Bon Jovi’s 2010-2011 “The Circle World Tour,” the GRAMMY Award-winning band sold more than 500,000 tickets on the first day of sales. Bon Jovi will spend much of the next two years on the road, performing 135 shows in 30 countries.
The release of the GRAMMY Award winning band’s new album, The Circle, and world tour, provides a powerful reassertion of Bon Jovi’s commitment to the hard-hitting rock & roll that has been the band’s indelible signature since it began more than 26 years ago.
“Arguably the U.S.'s most consistent rock act of the last quarter-century, Bon Jovi is two months into its largest world tour in 20-plus years,” said Mike Daniel, special contributor to The Dallas Morning News. “‘The Circle Tour’ is so named officially after its latest CD and, perhaps, unofficially for the band's promise to perform some of its oldest songs, completing a cycle of sorts.”
Jon Bon Jovi, in collaboration with the Corporation for National and Community Service, will be the first artist to take President Obama’s United We Serve initiative to a mass audience by bringing the message of service out on the road and engaging millions of fans. Bon Jovi, a longtime service advocate and philanthropist, calls on Americans in a concert video and PSA to use their energy and passion to help tackle our nation’s challenges. The video and PSA intersperse music from some of Bon Jovi's hit songs with a direct call to service.
