NewsSt. Pete Times Forum Ranks as the No.1 Venue in North America Pollstar Magazine – the international newsweekly of the music industry, and one of the concert industry’s leading publications, released a report on ticket sales for the first quarter of 2006. The St. Pete Times Forum, in its tenth year of operation, ranked as the number one venue in North America, and second in the world, for the most tickets sold to concerts, events and family shows for the period of 1/1/06 – 3/30/06. The study ranked the top 50 venues in the world by actual ticket sales for concert events and family shows. The following chart summarizes the report:
“We have had a tremendous first quarter,” said Ron Campbell, President of the St. Pete Times Forum and the 2004 Stanley Cup Champion Tampa Bay Lightning. “It is quite an accomplishment to out-perform larger cities and so many great venues this quarter. I am also proud that we have just received the highest ranking for most tickets sold in the state of Florida for all of 2005 – this speaks very highly of the growth of the Tampa Bay market. We will continue the trend of bringing the biggest and best talent to the Tampa Bay area,” he continued.
