St. Pete Times Forum Continues Community Friendly Friday This Week to Benefit the Children's Cancer Center

 Participants in Supply Drive will receive Free Storm Tickets and 
 Special Ticket Discounts to Other Shows

TAMPA BAY – The St. Pete Times Forum will continue its community call to action this Friday, May 21 in an effort to collect donations on behalf of the Children’s Cancer Center. “Community Friendly Friday” is a program created to help drive donation campaigns orchestrated by local non-profit organizations across the Tampa Bay area. Every other Friday throughout the summer, the St. Pete Times Forum will host a special community initiative on behalf of these groups. Those donating will receive a voucher redeemable for four tickets to a Tampa Bay Storm home game,plus additional ticket offers throughout the campaign.
 
This week, donors are encouraged to bring a good to the St. Pete Times Forum Box Office from 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. The Children’s Cancer Center is holding its annual pediatric oncology camp in June and is in need of supplies. The staff is arranging for the children to go trick or treating and celebrate a different holiday each day during the camp, since so many of the kids miss the opportunity while they are in the hospital. The following items are amongst the most needed: all sizes of dress up (Halloween) costumes, empty plastic Easter eggs, bags of individually wrapped candy, baby wipes, swim goggles/pool toys and Play-Doh.
 
Community members who participate on Friday will receive the following:
 
  • Tampa Bay Storm – voucher valid for four tickets to a home game
  • Disney On Ice presents Let’s Celebrate! (May 20 – 23) - $15 for all performances on select seats 
  • Joel & Victoria Osteen (June 4 at 7:30 p.m.) - $5 off select plaza level tickets
  • Carole King & James Taylor (June 6 at 8:00 p.m.) - $10 off select plaza level tickets
  • WWE SmackDown (June 8 at 6:45 p.m.) - $5 off select plaza level tickets
  • Maxwell and Jill Scott (June 15 at 7:00 p.m.) – select plaza level tickets for only $50
  • Xtreme Fighting Championships (July 9 at 7:00 p.m.) – Buy one ticket, get one free on select plaza level tickets
  • Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers (September 16 at 7:30 p.m.) - $10 off select plaza level tickets
  • Andre Rieu (December 10 at 8:00 p.m.) - $10 off tickets
The previous community friendly promotion of the summer was a huge success. In collaboration with Metropolitan Ministries, the St. Pete Times Forum held a supply drive on the West Plaza of the arena. Community members answered the call to action by donating over 1,250 pounds of non-perishable items and other supplies.
 
The Children's Cancer Center is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing children who have cancer or chronic blood disorders and their families with the educational, emotional and financial assistance necessary to cope with their life-threatening illnesses.
