St. Pete Times Forum Holds Record Number of Concert and Event On-Sales

Over the course of the last four weeks, the St. Pete Times Forum has put more concerts and events on sale than any other time in the venue’s history. Tickets have gone on sale for fourteen events that have been announced for December and the spring including:

Winky Wright v. Ike Quartey – Dec. 2
Shin do Kumaté – The Battle of the Heavyweights – Dec. 8
High School Musical – Dec. 20
Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey – Jan. 3 – 7 (currently on pre-sale to season ticket holders only)
Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band – Jan. 13
Rod Stewart – Jan. 17
Dancing with the Stars – Jan. 23
Red Hot Chili Peppers with special guests Gnarls Barkley – Jan. 28
Professional Bull Riding – Feb. 2
Smucker’s Stars on Ice – Feb. 18
Justin Timberlake with special guest Pink – Feb. 22
Blue Man Group – Feb. 24 (currently on pre-sale to season ticket holders only)
The Harlem Globetrotters – March 1
Christina Aguilera with special guests the Pussycat Dolls and Danity Kane – May 4

In addition to these shows that have recently gone on sale, the venue will host NCAA Division I Basketball with Florida v. Florida A&M on December 17 and USF v. Wake Forest; Florida State v. Providence College Double-header on December 29. The full season of Tampa Bay Lightning games can be viewed at tampabaylightning.com.
The venue will also host the 2007 ACC Mens Basketball Championship, and is getting ready to launch the 2007 season of the Arena Football League’s Tampa Bay Storm.

“We are gearing up for a tremendous first quarter of 2007,” said Ron Campbell, President of the St. Pete Times Forum and the 2004 Stanley Cup Champion Tampa Bay Lightning. “We are excited to roll out so many blockbuster events this month – and continue the trend of bringing the biggest and best talent to the Tampa Bay area,” he continued.

The St. Pete Times Forum, Home of the 2004 Stanley Cup Champion Tampa Bay Lightning and Five-Time Arena Football Champions the Tampa Bay Storm, is celebrating it’s 10 Year Anniversary since hosting it’s first event on October 12, 1996. Over the last decade, the venue has hosted a variety of events from Paul McCartney to the Wiggles, Harlem Globetrotters to NBA Preseason games, Ringling Bros & Barnum and Bailey Circus to U2 and everything in between. The St. Pete Times Forum has welcomed almost 20 million guests through its doors over the past 10 years.


Pollstar Magazine – the international newsweekly of the music industry, and one of the concert industry’s leading publications, released a report on ticket sales for the first quarter of 2006. The St. Pete Times Forum, in its tenth year of operation, ranked as the number one venue in North America, and second in the world, for the most tickets sold to concerts, events and family shows for the period of 1/1/06 – 3/30/06. The study ranked the top 50 venues in the world by actual ticket sales for concert events and family shows.
