“LFL Presents: Friday Night Football on MTV 2” to kick off on September 3
TAMPA BAY- The gridiron and airwaves will get even hotter this fall as MTV2 and the Lingerie Football League (LFL) team up to bring viewers the ultimate football experience with “LFL Presents: Friday Night Football on MTV2.” Premiering on MTV2 on Friday, September 3 at 11:00 p.m., “LFL Presents: Friday Night Football on MTV2” brings together two of men’s favorite passions in high-definition: sultry, model athletes and full-contact football.
“The marriage of LFL’s ‘Friday Night Football’ to MTV2 has now created the ultimate television viewing destination for guys on Friday nights,” said Mitchell S. Mortaza, Founder & Chairman, Lingerie Football League. “We are incredibly excited to team with MTV2 to introduce LFL football to the country.”
Throughout the season, the LFL and MTV2 will present 20 half-hour highlight episodes along with the Western and Eastern Conference playoffs. Each week, viewers will be able to check out all the hard-hitting moments from the week’s featured LFL game and gain access to the sidelines and the locker room.
The LFL is an extension of the most popular Super Bowl halftime counter-programming special in history called the Lingerie Bowl. Since its premiere in 2004, the bowl is seen annually by millions of die-hard football fans worldwide. Broadcasts of LFL games feature celebrity hosts, NFL greats, national recording artists and, of course, the 7-on-7 full-contact tackle football game played by athletic models.
The LFL’s Tampa Breeze is a league favorite, and has been ranked as a first place contender. The Tampa Breeze will start the season on the road with games against the LFL’s newest expansion teams, the Orlando Fantasy and the Baltimore Charm. They will return to home field action at the St. Pete Times Forum on December 17 when they take on their inner-state rival, the Miami Caliente. The Breeze will close out the regular season at home January 13 versus the Philadelphia Passion.
Tickets for the Tampa Breeze’s 2010-11 season are on sale now. New ticket options have recently been introduced, allowing fans to catch the action from the first three rows on the sidelines for only $50, and for $15 for all other seats. Fans can also save $5.00 per ticket on regular ticket prices when they purchase both home games at once.
