NewsNew Zambonis Set to Zam Downtown Tampa
TAMPA BAY – The Tampa Bay Lightning announced today that it will hold a parade through the streets of Tampa on Tuesday, September 28, to showcase the team’s two new Zambonis. The machines, purchased over the summer as part of the team’s facility upgrades project, will run through parts of downtown as well as the Channelside District.
The caravan is scheduled to begin at 11:45 a.m. from the St. Pete Times Forum compound and will travel from Brorein Street to Morgan before heading down Kennedy Boulevard. From there, the parade will travel through Jackson Street before looping around back to Morgan until its conclusion on Channelside Drive.
Thunderbug and the Lightning Girls will make appearances as well as the Lightning’s mobile marketing unit Rolling Thunder. Music, noise-makers, a t-shirt launch, prizes and giveaways will be available for all fans to enjoy.
