TAMPA BAY – Recording artist Sean Kingston will join platinum-selling pop singing sensation, Justin Bieber, on the “My World” Tour, presented by AEG Live and Xbox 360. The concert takes place at the St. Pete Times Forum on Sunday, December 19 at 7:00 p.m.
A self-proclaimed product of his past, rapper Sean Kingston’s history helps describe his sound. Born in Miami, FL, then raised in Kingston, Jamaica, from the age of six, he mixed more than a little dancehall and reggae into his hip-hop. Kingston burst onto the music scene in 2007 with his debut single “Beautiful Girls.” The song, which features a sampled bass-line from Ben E. King’s “Stand By Me,” topped the charts in the U.S., Canada, UK and several other countries. It also topped the U.S. Hot 100, staying at the top for four weeks and becoming one of the biggest-selling singles of the year.
MY WORLD 2.0, is the multi-platinum, chart-topping new album, and is the follow-up to Justin’s debut, MY WORLD, released in November. MY WORLD 2.0, featuring the hit singles “Baby” and “Somebody to Love,” reached #1 in 16 countries and, combined, Justin has sold over 5 million albums worldwide. MY WORLD, which earned RIAA platinum in just a few short weeks, contained Justin’s first four Top 40 hits on the Hot 100, “One Time” (certified RIAA platinum), “One Less Lonely Girl,” “Love Me,” and “Favorite Girl.” Justin is the first solo artist in history to send four songs from a debut album into the Top 40 of the Billboard Hot 100 prior to the album’s release.
Justin Bieber and Sean Kingston first collaborated on the song “Eenie Meenie” and are now hitting the road together on the Xbox 360 Presents Justin Bieber My World Tour. They are set to release a mixtape together called Our World, which Kingston teased would feature Bieber’s sweet vocals and some rhymes. Our World is scheduled for release in the next few weeks.
