Venues Today – the international monthly of facilities and entertainment, and one of the concert industry’s leading publications, released a report on year-end ticket sales for 2007. The venue also posted the second highest-grossing arena event in the United States for the year 2007, with the 2007 Atlantic Coast Conference Tournament.

Additionally, the St. Pete Times Forum ranked number one in the Southeast according to Billboard Magazine, and number one in Florida according to Pollstar Magazine in the year-end charts.

“We are very pleased with the recently announced rankings report from Venues Today,” said Ron Campbell, President of the St. Pete Times Forum and 2004 Stanley Cup Champion Tampa Bay Lightning. “Year in and year out we continue to take a very aggressive approach to event booking, marketing and sales strategies that allow us to out-perform venues in communities much larger than Tampa Bay. We are appreciative that we get to host so many unique visitors to our region, as well as servicing the patrons that live here by offering unique sporting events and first class family shows and concerts,” he continued.

“This year we wowed the fans of the Atlantic Coast Conference when we hosted their Men’s Basketball Tournament in March. We just had the most competitive college hockey tournament in the country over the holidays, special events like Professional Bull Riding, family spectacles like Disney’s High School Musical: The Ice Tour and Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey®, and many great concerts including The Police, Bob Seger, Justin Timberlake and of course Hannah Montana, that contributed to our tenth consecutive top 10 position in the country. And the future continues to look bright with a line-up throughout 2008 that includes George Strait, Van Halen, Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, Bon Jovi, NCAA Mens 1st and 2nd Rounds and the Women’s Final Four,” Campbell said. “Stay tuned for even more big announcements.”
