2009 Under Armour All-American Volleyball Match & Skills Competition Comes to the St. Pete Times Forum

TAMPA BAY- Under Armour and the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) will present the 2009 Under Armour All-America Volleyball Match & Skills Competition at the St. Pete Times Forum in downtown Tampa, Fla. Tickets for the second-annual event are now available.

The 2009 Under Armour All-America Volleyball Match & Skills Competition will be played Sunday, December 20 at 1 pm, as part of the AVCA Annual Convention in Tampa.  The match will feature 24 Under Armour Girls High School All-Americans as selected by the AVCA, competing in a three-set match, in addition to a series of individual competitions that will showcase the athletes’ superlative skills.
 
“We are honored to present this premier event for the country’s elite female high school volleyball players,” said Adrienne Lofton, Senior Director- Women’s Marketing. “We look forward to elevating the sport of volleyball by continuing to provide athletes with proven innovation and a platform for female athletes to showcase their skills through hard work and dedication.”

The St. Pete Times Forum, home to the National Hockey League’s Tampa Bay Lightning, hosts more than 150 events annually, including concerts, family events, ice shows, and other indoor sports.  It will host the 2009 NCAA Division I Volleyball Championships December 17-19.
