Follow Lightning Fan Fest 2009 on Twitter and Facebook
TAMPA BAY – The Tampa Bay Lightning will give fans behind-the-scene coverage, prizes and
giveaways via their social media sites on Facebook and Twitter (@TBLightning) leading up to and
during Fan Fest 2009, presented by the Embassy Suites Downtown.
The Lightning will be hosting trivia on their Facebook page at 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. everyday
leading up to Fan Fest 2009. All trivia winners will receive two tickets to a Lightning home game
in 2009-10. There is no limit to the number of times each person can win and each win will enter
the winner into a grand prize drawing. Lightning alumni will also be getting involved in trivia
questions while also sending special messages to fans. Continuing the interactive features on
the site, fans can vote on the Grand Prize via the Facebook page. The different options are a
luxury suite for a Lightning home game, four front row tickets and entry into the XO VIP Club, four
Channelside Club tickets, a four-day/three night cruise or a private locker room tour with Lightning
captain Vincent Lecavalier.
Also on the Lightning Facebook page, fans can submit questions to Martin St. Louis, Mattias
Ohlund and Victor Hedman. They will answer select submissions during Fan Fest from 4:15-5
p.m. Season ticket holders can also submit questions for Executive Vice President and General
Manager Brian Lawton, Mike Smith and Antero Niittymaki to have them answered during the
Season Ticket Holder Party, presented by Sweetbay Supermarket, being held from 2-5 p.m.
Fans will have the chance to win a number of secret prizes and giveaways just by following Fan
Fest coverage on Facebook and Twitter. They will have random chances to receive team
memorabilia and plenty of other prizes.
The Lightning Facebook and Twitter pages will be home to free exclusive Fan Fest photos,
videos and news. Fans should continue to follow Facebook and Twitter through training camp
and the regular season to receive all the latest updates straight from the source.
