The Holiday Season's Most Exciting Rock Spectacle Trans-Siberian Orchestra at the St. Pete Times Forum Sunday, December 6 for Two Shows!

Tickets go on sale Saturday, September 26 at 10 am

TAMPA BAY- With the long awaited new album Night Castle on the verge of being released, Trans-Siberian Orchestra (TSO), one of rock music's biggest arena attractions, announces it will once again launch another monumental North American tour playing more than 80 cities in a nine-week period beginning November 1st. The tour will return to the St. Pete Times Forum December 6 for two shows at 3:00pm and 7:30pm.

“Every day, we’re working across the board to have the biggest emotional impact on our fans,” concludes TSO creator Paul O’Neill. “We’re composing music that cuts even deeper, building the best possible ensemble, working to make our staging something that completely blows them away and if we are fortunate maybe even changes their lives in a little way for the better.”

The Trans-Siberian Orchestra’s (TSO) “symphonic rock” experience is one of the nation’s hottest tours.   Since its first tour in 1999, TSO has been one of the most successful acts in the concert business, consistently rating in the Top 10 for both gross revenues and audience attendance. In that time, TSO’s annual tours have become a must-see tradition for rock-centric holiday revelers, attracting a uniquely all-ages audience captivated by their cross-genre blending of metal and progressive rock, classical themes and great storytelling, with unequalled staging and pyrotechnics.

TSO begins with the theatrical appeal of the Phantom of the Opera and the rock opera storytelling of The Who’s Tommy. Then adds Romantic Era classical melodies a la Mozart and Strauss, the progressive classical/rock fusion of bands like Queen and Yes, the metal edge of Black Sabbath and Led Zeppelin and dustings of musical spices that range from Gospel to Celtic to Motown to Jazz. TSO brings these musical ingredients to life in the most powerful way possible – by a 60-piece ensemble that marries a full orchestra, a full rock band with a dozen lead singers.  Complement the massive sonic recipe with staging that is always one step beyond state-of-the-art, a sensory onslaught of lighting and pyrotechnics. And lastly, it defies the laws of inflation by having a modest entry price – so rock-loving parents can take along their rock-loving children, and maybe even their own parents, to comprise the most cross-generational/cross-genre audience in the rock concert business.

The band’s four CD releases, including the holiday-themed Christmas Eve & Other Stories, The Christmas Attic and The Lost Christmas Eve have sold more than 5,000,000 units. TSO’s DVD release, The Ghost of Christmas Eve, has also achieved platinum status.
